Our Story
The Birth of Trucker Approved: A Story of Necessity and Innovation
It was a crisp late fall evening in Great Falls, Montana, when I found myself parked for a reset, completely cut off from the outside world. My cell phone had no signal—no data, no weather updates, no way to stay connected. To make matters worse, my TV antenna had been on the fritz for weeks, the coax cable hanging uselessly where I’d meant to fix it but never quite got around to it.
As I sat in my cab, surrounded by the stillness of the truck stop, the realization hit me—I was in the dark, both figuratively and literally. The roads could be closing, a storm could be brewing, and I wouldn’t know until I stepped outside and felt the ice forming under my boots.
Thankfully, I had one last option. I made my way into the truck stop and picked up a new TV antenna. Within minutes of installing it, I was back in business—weather bulletins, news, and a sense of security returned. It was in that moment that an idea took root:
Truckers need a reliable place to find products and services that actually work—tested, approved, and recommended by drivers who use them daily.
Too often, we’re left guessing—buying cheap equipment that fails when we need it most or spending money on gear that doesn’t hold up to the demands of life on the road. I knew there had to be a better way.
That’s how Trucker Approved was born.
